The Scorpions hit the stage hard and heavy and did not slow down as they rocked and rolled the sold-out audience at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa August 3. Lead by founding members Klaus Meine on vocals and Rudolf Schenker on guitar, the band performed cuts from their most recent album as well as selections from their greatest hits. Fans were on their feet singing the lyrics with Klaus and company throughout the entire show. Rounding out the band are, Matthias Jabs on guitar, James Kottak on drums, and Pawel Maciwoda on bass.
The Scorpions had their major break in the United States when they were invited to perform at the U.S. Festival in 1983. Sammy Haggar and the Wabos opened the show.
