Bush No More For Next Four
From a tenuous election to a costly war, this administration's record is unsuccessful.

President Bush rated the situation in Iraq as a "catastrophic success" during an interview with Time magazine last April.
Let's use Bush's own words to examine his term in office. Keep in mind the definition of "catastrophic" is "destructive and disastrous." This Certainly sums up his last four years and in view of the deplorable situation in Iraq, Bush's intervention in that country truly was a catastrophic success.
9/11 Commission Report
The report said that intelligence agencies and high-level officials in the White House patently ignored or dismissed information specifying that attacks against the United States were imminent. It concluded that the administration failed to secure America's borders resulting in 9/11.
The Commission served us well and exposed the excesses and failures of the Bush Administration. It made excellent recommendations including setting up a national counter-terrorismĀ center, creating a trusted information network to be shared government-wide and developing a comprehensive terrorist screening entry and exit system. Once these recommendations have been enacted, we can hope for no further incursions within our borders.
The War in Iraq
Operation Iraqi Freedom has already cost the lives of more than 1,000 young soldiers and more than 7,000 have been wounded; some permanently disabled, and this was based on the supposed threat of weapons of mass destruction.
Education
The president's promise to "leave no child behind" never got off the ground. Bush has repeatedly broken his promise to provide federal support for education. In the two years since he signed that bill, none of his budgets have come close to fulfilling the $9 billion needed to implement these programs. According to the Department of Education, he has spent 50 times more on tax cuts than increases for education.
Unemployment
The president never fulfilled his promise to provide thousands of new jobs. Too many jobs that should have been for Americans were out-sourced to foreign entities.
