The world is a better place without Saddam Hussein in power, but America has taken a nose-dive since Bush took office.

Our feelings as voters can be epitomized by the muddled quote and now famous Bush-ism: "Fool me once, shame on me; Fool me twice, won't get fooled again."

Bush sucks. Let's review the reasons why.

Bush let down American families by not addressing increased health care costs, college tuition or rising gas prices. He let children down by underfunding No Child Left Behind by $27 billion in his last four budgets, according to the President's FY 2005 Budget.

Keep in mind that through it all, Bush did manage to provide trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy.

The economy has suffered with the Bush Administration turning a record surplus into a record deficit as American people lost 1.8 million private sector jobs.

He cut funding for alternative energy options and Bush has consistently worked with big oil companies to block bipartisan efforts to increase fuel efficiency and decrease oil consumption.

Bush's health care record is just as sickening.

The amount spent on prescription drugs nationwide has more than doubled over the past five years, from $87 billion in 1998 to $184 billion in 2003. Americans are spending more on prescription drugs today than ever before, according to a February study conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Our national security is now more insecure than ever. Even before invading Iraq, the Bush administration knew that the huge facility, Al Qaqaa, contained nearly 380 tons of deadly explosives.

Despite the fact that they knew exactly where this facility was, they took no action to secure or protect the site.

Due to the incompetence of the Bush Administration and their incomprehensible failure to plan, these explosives have disappeared.

It's time for America to wake up and smell the dishonesty.

Unlike Bush, John Kerry and John Edwards will stand up for America's values and they have a plan to build an America that is strong at home and respected in the world.
