Cell Phone Bandit Still at Large

Petty Theft:
A student reported her cell phone stolen from the Lion's Den on Nov. 16 after she left the phone unattended between 9:30 a.m.- 10: 30 a.m. No one witnessed the incident and the suspect is still at large. The phone was valued at $300.
Car theft:
A student reported her car stolen from parking lot G on the afternoon of Nov. 15. The victim stated that upon returning from class, she noticed that her vehicle was missing. Although there was no description of the car, the police report stated that its estimated value was $15,000. The West Hollywood sheriff's station prepared a report and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System (SVS). No witnesses have come forward and the suspect is still at large.
Vandalism:
A vending machine was vandalized near the behavioral science building on Nov. 15. Witnesses stated that an individual struck the vending machine with his knee causing the glass to shatter. The suspect was described as an Armenian male, wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a blue jacket. A student matching the description was detained for investigation, but, he was later released when witnesses were unable to identify him.
