OIL PRICE NEGOTIATIONS:
President Bush met with Saudi Arabia's Prince Abdullah Monday for talks about crude oil prices. Though Saudis promised a year ago to reduce the price to $25 a barrel, they currently cost more than double that amount.
MAN IS DEAD MEAT:
A man traveling into the United States from Mexico was stopped by customs agents north of Las Cruces. He was found in possession of about 800 pounds of bologna he planned to sell at a swap meet at a profit of 300 to 400 percent.
POSSIBLE CURE FOR WEST NILE VIRUS:
Researchers believe that a newly discovered antibody may cure the West Nile Virus. It has been successful in treating mice even when the virus has affected the brain.
DUMB CRIMINALS:
Most Wanted suspect William McReynolds was arrested in Ohio after living the posh life. McReynolds, who was also known as "Big Mac," was wanted on federal charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin and cocaine. He had been missing since November 1992. Amongst McReynolds properties were a $300,000 luxury suite and a $90,000 Mercedes.
