Grand and Petty Theft
Since the start of May, more than $1300 worth of merchandise was reported stolen.
The earliest incident occured on May 4 when officers responded to a disturbance call between two male students at the south gym.
At 9 a.m. the victim left his back pack containing $600 in the weight room as he worked out.
When the victim returned to his bag, twenty minutes later, he noticed his money was missing. According to the victim, he noticed one individual, a former roommate, laundering around the bag, but he did not see the suspect take the money. Another witness confirmed the victim's accusations.
A report has been filed, no charges have been issued.
Also on May 4, a male student reported the rear spoiler to his BMW missing. While in class between 3 p.m.- 9 p.m. an unknown suspect took the spoiler from his car parked in Lot E. No suspects have been found, the spoiler is estimated at $500.
Petty theft incidents include a stolen purse with $160 worth of goods taken from Business/ Journalism room 106 on May 5 and a $100 yellow mountain bike taken outside Monarch Hall on May 7. There were no witnesses and the suspects still remain at large.
